Workshops

An overview of workshops I offer.

My workshops focus on the tools and workflows that make research more reproducible, efficient, and enjoyable. These are the same things that I find useful in my own work.

They range from single afternoon sessions to week-long trainings, depending on the topic and how deep we go. I usually run workshops online, so people can join from anywhere.

I try to make my workshops accessible to everyone, including people without a technical or programming background. The goal is always practical and focused on tools and methods that participants can apply directly to their own work, so I always encourage people to bring their own data and questions to the sessions.

I provide all materials and code in open formats, which remain accessible online even after the workshop has ended.

Below is an overview of the workshops I currently offer. I’m always happy to add new topics or adjust the workshop format to fit a group’s needs.

If you’re interested in a workshop or have any questions, just get in touch!

Beyond the workshops above, there are other topics I’m happy to give as standalone sessions or as part of a larger workshop, including:

If one of these sounds useful, just get in touch.

The Tools & Tips series

Alongside the workshops above, I run a monthly lecture series called “Scientific Workflows - Tools & Tips” at Freie Universität covering a rotating set of topics around scientific workflows. Each session is either a 1-hour lecture or a 2-hour mini-workshop with hands-on materials. Several of the workshops above grew out of this series, and all the materials are openly available on the series website.
